The Domaine Coulombaud is located in the municipality of Méounes-lès-Montrieux in the Var department in the heart of the Provence. The place benefits from a very particular continental climate. Indeed, perched at 400 meters above sea level, the cool nights follow the days often very hot in summer. These thermal amplitudes are important and favorable to the cultivation of the grape varieties that we have chosen to plant, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon for black grapes and Rolle for white grapes. The maturation of the berries is thus slower, more progressive and therefore more complete when the season lends itself to it.
Remained asleep for several decades, the vineyard free of pesticides re-emerged in 2009
The first harvest takes place in 2012
After the mandatory three years of compliance, the production is certified organic and receives the Ecocert label in 2015.
Our relationship with nature is above all observation and exchange. We do not dictate her behavior, we suggest it to her and she rewards the correctness of our choices by the quality of the fruits that she offers us.
The whole production is Organic certified under Ecocert label.
